Car air conditioning

Regas, leak detection, compressor replacement and system sanitising — cars, 4x4s, buses, trucks and refrigerated vehicles, in Yaoundé.

A car air conditioner does not lose its refrigerant in normal use. When the air comes out warm it is almost always a leak, a tired compressor or a condenser blocked with dust — not simply a low charge. We find the cause before refilling: topping up a circuit that leaks means paying for the same job twice.

What we do

  • Full machine regas: old refrigerant recovered, vacuum pulled, leak test, then charged to the exact quantity the manufacturer specifies
  • Leak detection with nitrogen or UV dye: O-rings, hoses, condenser, evaporator
  • Parts replacement: compressor, clutch and pulley, condenser, evaporator, expansion valve, receiver-drier, pressure switch, belt
  • System sanitising and cabin filter replacement — that is what removes the smell in the first minutes
  • Electrical checks: cooling fan, relays, pressure sensors and the air-conditioning control

Every vehicle

Cars, 4x4s and minibuses, trucks, buses and site machinery. We also maintain refrigerated vehicles — temperature-controlled vans and lorries — with the same equipment and the same technicians as our cold rooms: it is the same trade, on board a vehicle.

R134a and R1234yf

We work with both refrigerants. Recent vehicles run on R1234yf, which never mixes with R134a: using the wrong gas, or forcing the wrong coupler, damages the system. We check the label under the bonnet before touching anything.

Lead time

A regas with a leak test takes about an hour in the workshop. A compressor replacement is done the same day when the part is in stock. For fleets — taxis, transport companies, service vehicles — we work on site and schedule the visits.
